Lok Sabha Election 2019: Don't spread Fake Whatsapp Messages | ECI


Lok Sabha elections will be held in a 7 phases from the date April 11 to May 19.Lock Sabha Election Result date is 23 May.

The phase 1 of 2019 Lok Sabha elections ended 2 day back and it had been reported that instant electronic communication platform whats app has started interference and deleting numbers that unfold information and pretend news. In fact, the Election commission of India (ECI) has recently warned the people to not believe this type of messages they receive on Whats App that claim that voters will vote on-line for the coming elections. 

ECI representative sheyphali Sharan took to Twitter to alert voters regarding this 'fake message'. 

“It has come  to our notice that the following FAKE NEWS is circulating  on some WhatsApp grups. It is clarified that you can  only apply for voter registration online through nvsp.inportal,” Sheyphali Sharan tweeted. 


Sheyphali Sharan additionally connected a screenshot of the pretend WhatsApp message that claimed that Indian passport holders will vote on-line for 2019.

Whatsapp is currently testing 2 new Features referred to as "forwarding Info" and "frequentlyforwarded".
